  1. I’ve just download the exo platform and I’ve been playing around with it a bit. I was wondering if there were more in depth documentation anywhere. The portal application is good looking and all, but I can’t figure out how to use it to actually build something I need. For example, I used the Fast Content Creator portlet to create some sample content, but I cannot find it anywhere later.

  2. I’ve taken a look at them, but they raise more questions than provide answers. I still need to figure out how to create a new page, and how to create navigation to get to content.

  3. Those docs are indeed technical documentation and not user / admin manuals ones.

The manuals are only delivered with the subscription edition.

If you want to ask questions you can also use the mailing list: exoplatform@objectweb.org , here again it is more technical questions..

As a hint for you, you can easily create a page using the “Page Creation Wizard”, in that page you will need to add the Content Browser Portlet which will point to a content store in the File Explorer.

When you create a content using Fast Content Creator, than it is store in the File System (called JCR), use the edit mode of the portlet to see where it is stored and than the CB Portlet to display it in the page.
