With the increasing popularity of the eXo Chat application<\/strong>, rightfully you\u2019ve been demanding many improvements. We\u2019ve heard you and we\u2019re starting a series of changes that should make chatting in eXo a much more pleasing experience.<\/p>\n

Until now, except for the owner of the room, there was no way to know who was participating in a chat room<\/strong>. We were all left to send a \u201cHi there, who\u2019s online?\u201d These dark days are now over because all group rooms will now display a list of members.

\nIt looks like this:<\/p>\n

\"eXo<\/a><\/p>\n

The header indicates the total number of members in the room and the toggle button lets you display or hide the offline users.
\nThe names and avatars of users are displayed, sorted by their availability. Hovering over any member will bring up the familiar popover, so you can initiate a direct chat<\/strong> or even a call.<\/p>\n

If you need the list to take up less space, you can click on the little handle to display it in a narrower mode:<\/p>\n

This is the default mode for smaller screens such as smartphones.<\/p>\n

How can I try it?<\/h2>\n

These improvements can now be previewed in the eXo Tribe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you prefer, you can also try them on your server by downloading the latest milestone<\/a> of eXo Platform 4.4 Community Edition and installing the latest eXo Chat milestone beyond 1.4-M06:<\/p>\n
