The world\u2019s biggest coffee chain, Starbucks<\/strong>, is calling Satya Nadella, Microsoft<\/strong>\u2019s CEO, to join its board.<\/a><\/p>\n

Starbucks<\/strong> will put Nadella alongside Sam’s Club CEO Rosalind Brewer and Lego executive chairman J\u00f8rgen Vig Knudstorp. The election will be held on 22nd March at the company\u2019s annual shareholders meeting.<\/p>\n

The coffee giant is counting on this \u201ckiller squad\u201d to strengthen their digital strategy and to add some expertise skills in technology and innovation.<\/p>\n

Starbucks is expanding its digital capabilities<\/h2>\n

It goes without saying that Nadella\u2019s extensive experience in technology will play a major role in Starbucks<\/strong>\u2019 growth, as he\u2019ll help the company find innovative ways to drive sales.<\/p>\n

As Starbucks<\/strong> is becoming more tech-focused over the years, nominating Nadella seems to be in line with the organization\u2019s long-term vision.<\/p>\n

\u201cSatya Nadella will bring extensive experience and an understanding of how technology will be used and experienced around the world\u201d, Starbucks<\/strong> said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The company has already planned to equip 80% of its stores with digital enhancements, such as mobile order, mobile pay and personalization.<\/p>\n

So what can we expect from Nadella?<\/h2>\n

One thing for sure is Nadella\u2019s membership will hugely influence the company\u2019s strategy. But how exactly? We still don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s make some guesses though \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Are we going to start seeing \u00a0Hololens or Xbox consoles in the company\u2019s coffee shops? Or will we see Starbucks<\/strong> coffee makers all around Microsoft<\/strong>\u2019s offices?<\/p>\n
