Universal, Fox and Sony are also trying to secure new rights.<\/p>\n<p>But now that these two unlikely suitors are involved, they\u2019re raising the game and are competing not only for the film rights but for the entire franchise, which is valued at between $2 billion and $5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon and Apple are both aiming at controlling the media we all want to watch, and neither is short of cash. It\u2019s the most effective way for both of them to sell us the hardware to watch it, as well as the subscription services that go along with it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApple\u2019s and Amazon\u2019s inclusion in the chase would indicate that more is on the table than film rights, including the future of the franchise,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/heat-vision\/apple-amazon-join-race-james-bond-film-rights-1035539\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to the Hollywood Reporter.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bright side of it is that if one of these giants wins the race, we can get more than just one movie every few years. Let\u2019s think about the potential that James Bond has. We could even be watching a Bond series or some spin-off and I\u2019m sure that we won\u2019t get tired of it!<\/p>\n<p>Will Amazon or Apple blow up James Bond?
