We\u2019ve seen in previous posts<\/a> how employee engagement<\/a> became an important topic for us at eXo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In this post, we will present a new add-on pursuing our efforts to help you engage your collaborators with your digital workplace.<\/p>\n

The eXo Kudos add-on<\/strong> will allow you to acknowledge your peers work. Indeed, with the eXo Kudos add-on<\/strong>, your coworkers will be able to have a special way to praise someone\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s dive into this new add-on and see what it has to offer.<\/p>\n

A tool for peer to peer recognition<\/h2>\n

Employee engagement<\/strong> is a hot topic for businesses, a way to ensure it is with a digital workplace<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is crucial<\/a> for high performing organizations, and the eXo Kudos add-on<\/strong> is a tool to enable employee engagement, by sending a \u201ckudos<\/strong>\u201d to your coworker for something he has done. This module is part of our efforts to help you motivate and reward your coworkers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Peer-to-peer recognition is shown to have a positive correlation with employee engagement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Indeed, a 2016 survey<\/a> by Globoforce and SHRM on employee recognition<\/a> shows that: \u00a090% of workers stated that a values-based, peer-to-peer recognition make them more satisfied with their work.<\/p>\n

The benefits of peer-to-peer recognition are not limited to creating more engagement. It has been found to positively impact business outcomes too.<\/p>\n

Research by Globoforce and SHRM showed that \u201cpeer-to-peer\u201d recognition is 35.7% more likely to positively impact financial results than \u201cmanager-only\u201d recognition.<\/p>\n

It is also known to increase customer satisfaction. These studies show a strong business case to enable peer-to-peer recognition.<\/p>\n

This feature will allow you to send and display your recognition on your platform to anyone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For example, someone shared a presentation that you found extremely helpful or you would like to congratulate someone for reaching a new milestone on his\/her project.<\/p>\n

Setting up your Recognition Program<\/h2>\n

Basically, your admin will be able to set up how many kudos<\/strong> you may send for a certain period of time.<\/p>\n

By doing so you\u2019ll be able to make \u201cKudos<\/strong>\u201d a scarce resource, thus more valuable when given to someone. This will show a great amount of appreciation for whom you\u2019ll give it to.<\/p>\n

\"eXo<\/p>\n

In addition, in the administration, you\u2019ll be able to see all the kudos<\/strong> sent and received by each user over a specific period.<\/p>\n

\"Setting<\/p>\n

After setting up the Kudos program<\/strong>, users may now send \u201cKudos<\/strong>\u201d to their peers.<\/p>\n

Sending Kudos<\/h2>\n

For now, you will only be able to send a kudos on an activity<\/strong>, but we are already preparing other ways to send kudos<\/strong> so make sure to keep an eye on the upcoming versions.<\/p>\n

\"SendingAs the illustration above shows, there\u2019s an icon that allows you to send a kudos on the activity<\/strong>. We can also observe that we can know how many kudos<\/strong> have been sent for this activity.<\/p>\n

If you click on that icon a popup window will appear:<\/p>\n

\"Sending<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be able to see how many kudos<\/strong> you have already sent (icon in blue), and how many you have left (in grey). You may also observe that you can add a personal message to the kudos<\/strong> you are sending.<\/p>\n

When you click send, an automatic comment will be published on the activity as follow:<\/p>\n

\"SendingThis will allow you to make your recognition visible to everyone<\/strong> and enable peer-to-peer recognition within your eXo Platform<\/a> and your organization.<\/p>\n

How Can I Try it?<\/h2>\n
