{"id":18683,"date":"2019-01-31T05:59:22","date_gmt":"2019-01-31T04:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/?p=18683"},"modified":"2023-06-01T13:23:16","modified_gmt":"2023-06-01T11:23:16","slug":"customer-spotlight-tim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/customer-spotlight-tim\/","title":{"rendered":"Customer Spotlight: TIM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Telecom Italia Mobile<\/strong> (<strong>TIM<\/strong>), is the leading telecom service provider in Italy in terms of revenue and number of subscribers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1994, through a merger of several state-owned companies, it is one of <strong>Telecom Italia<\/strong> subsidiary specialized in a variety of services such as, telephone, mobile and DSL data services.<\/p>\n<p>In Italy, <strong>TIM<\/strong> is covering 80% of households reached with their fixed ultrabroadband network and over 98% of the population covered by LTE and weigh 9.5 billions euros in revenues in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/\">eXo <\/a>was to help <strong>TIM <\/strong>modernize their enterprise cloud services portfolio by offering its SMB clients a complete and easy-to-use <strong>team collaboration solution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, driven by the new <i>Smart Working <\/i>initiative promoted by the Italian government, TIM wanted to offer its own white-labeled solution powered by a proven <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/\">digital workplace<\/a> software provider: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/about-us\/\">eXo Platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TIM<\/strong> favored <strong>eXo<\/strong> because it offers a complete <strong>enterprise-ready platform<\/strong> that is highly flexible and extensible. The solution offers various features, covering the main <strong>employee engagement<\/strong> and <strong>digital collaboration<\/strong> use cases today.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this rich set of features, <strong>TIM<\/strong> chose <strong>eXo Platform <\/strong>for its flexibility and extensibility. <strong>TIM<\/strong> was able to adapt and customize the platform to meet its own unique vision and to integrate with several cloud applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TIM<\/strong> is planning the first deployments to its enterprise end-customers for the fall of 2018. Its goal is to reach 50,000 end-users by the end of the first year of the product\u2019s rollout.
