In the new version, you can receive notifications so you never miss a task, find any task with searching and filters, and browse your tasks using labels.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Notifications<\/h2>\n<p>Because we all need reminders sometimes, <strong>tasks<\/strong> have been integrated into <strong>eXo Platform\u2019s notification system<\/strong>. Now, you can be notified when one of your tasks changes, such as when:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>someone assigns a task to you;<\/li>\n<li>you are added as coworker;<\/li>\n<li>the due date changes; or<\/li>\n<li>it is marked as complete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9873\" src=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image1.png\" alt=\"Task management tool\" width=\"375\" height=\"347\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As usual, you can choose how you want to receive these <strong>notifications<\/strong>. In the notifications preferences screen, we have added a new Tasks section.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9875\" src=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image2.png\" alt=\"Online task management\" width=\"802\" height=\"276\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Search and Filters<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>search field<\/strong> at the top of the central panel lets you search task titles and descriptions. It should nicely complement the unified search, such as when you need to quickly filter a large list of tasks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9874\" src=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image3.png\" alt=\"tasks list\" width=\"833\" height=\"318\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If that\u2019s not enough, you can further refine your search results using the <strong>filter icon<\/strong> to search for specific:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>labels;<\/li>\n<li>tags;<\/li>\n<li>assignees;<\/li>\n<li>due dates;<\/li>\n<li>priorities; or<\/li>\n<li>completion statuses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9876\" src=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image4.png\" alt=\"task planning\" width=\"602\" height=\"391\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Labels<\/h2>\n<p>You can now mark your tasks with custom labels. In the task detail panel and below the project name, you can double click to add <strong>labels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image5.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9877\" src=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image5.png\" alt=\"task filters\" width=\"531\" height=\"350\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Unlike projects and tags, <strong>labels<\/strong> are private. Hence, only you can see how you <strong>label a task<\/strong>, and the suggestions you receive are based on your labels.<br \/>\nWhile projects provide a common view for a set of tasks, labels let you arrange your tasks to fit your own method of tackling work.<br \/>\nLabels are very powerful because they can be used across projects, and you can assign multiple labels to a task to give you different perspectives. Hence, labels provide very useful groupings on Lists and Boards.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image6.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9878\" src=\"https:\/\/www.exoplatform.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image6.png\" alt=\"task labels\" width=\"1396\" height=\"671\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can find all your labels on the left panel below Projects. From there, you can organize them in the same way you organize projects.
