We are pleased to announce the availability of eXo Platform 4.2.1<\/strong>, the first maintenance version of the Platform 4.2<\/strong> series.
\nThis release contains fixes for 46 defects of several kinds.

Customer issues<\/h2>\n

In each maintenance version, we provide fixes for issues reported by our customers through the support channel.<\/p>\n

Improvements in the unified search<\/h2>\n

Search configurations were only being applied to authenticated users. From Platform 4.2.1<\/strong>, all search configurations are valid for any user.<\/p>\n

Share video link on activity composer<\/h2>\n

The video link sharing<\/strong> function has been enhanced to support both full and short URL formats for YouTube, Vimeo, SlideShare and Dailymotion. It works with the Platform running on either HTTP or HTTPS.<\/p>\n

Upgrade CometD from 3.0.3 to 3.0.5<\/h2>\n

CometD<\/strong> is used in Platform for several features: on-site notifications, calendar reminder popups and forum private message popups. This upgrade has around 50 bug fixes and enhancements to provide more robust CometD connections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

CometD in Enterprise Trial installers<\/h2>\n

All functions using CometD in Platform now work correctly in both the Trial<\/strong> and Enterprise<\/strong> instances.
\nThere are also fixes for other defects that were reported by eXo teams.
