CITET: Tunis International Center for Environmental Technologies

CITET is a public institution and part of Tunisia's Ministry of Environment. It is dedicated to sustainable development in Tunisia and in the Arab and Mediterranean region, by developing Tunisian knowledge resources and expertise with environmental technologies. CITET plays a fundamental role in environmental upgrading of enterprises to fulfill national and international standards and enhance their competitiveness.

The Opportunity

Build a collaborative Intranet for CITET's employees.

The Requirements

An ergonomic user interface to ensure the intranet is accessible and usable by non-technical employees.
An Open Standard Platform (JSR 168, JSR 286, WSRP) to maitain an extensible architecture.
A full featured enterprise Content Management System (CMS) including WYNIWYG editor, easy content publishing, categorisation, versionning and validation workflow.
Complete Document Management capabilities including a workflow engine, the ability to uploading files, add structured documents, mail notification and tag documents.
An integrated search engine.
User and permission management using rules to control access for individual users and groups.
Communication tools: Agenda, Contact, WebMail.
Integration with the exiting company directory.

The eXo Solution

CITET published a private RFP and selected the most cost effective solution that met all of the functional requirements of the project.

eXo was also chosen for its ability to address the different integration issues through its compliance with major standards: JSR 268, JSR 168 and Content Management Interoperability Specification (CMIS).
