eXo Platform 4.0.5 Released! Now available in 15 languages!

We are very pleased to announce the availability of eXo Platform 4.0.5, the fifth maintenance version of the Platform 4.0 series.

This version contains resolutions for 159 issues from several categories:

Customer issues

Each maintenance version has fixes for issues reported by our customers through the support channel.

Diacritics in page names

Users can now have portal pages or wiki pages in their own language and the title can include diacritics.

Security vulnerabilities

Information system security threats are a big concern for all our customers. We try to fix them as soon as they are detected.

Boost to calendar performance

Thanks to query optimization and cache implementations, the Calendar application has been given a significant performance improvement.

eXo Platform on tablets

With the upgrade of Twitter Bootstrap, eXo Platform hopes to serve tablet fans better. Thanks to Eric Taïeb Walch for the suggestion.

New translations in 3 languages

Thanks to the valuable contributions of our colleagues, partners and the community onCrowdin, 3 new languages have been added: Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, and Russian. Users can choose from 15 languages for eXo Platform 4.0.5.

Other defects were reported by our QA and engineering teams and the eXo community.

How to get the update

Customers who subscribe to eXo will receive the bundle via our support channel.

Otherwise, you can download and start using eXo Platform 4.0.5 Express Edition now.

If you are using eXo Platform 4.0.4, you should follow the Upgrade chapter in the Administration guide and the Release Notes on the community website, and you will quickly get the new version to work with your current data.

The next version, eXo Platform 4.0.6, is already on track. It is scheduled to be available at the end of May 2014.
