There’s even a day dedicated to the fans to celebrate their love for the films. The official Star Wars Day is 4 May, when fans around the world proclaim: ‘May the 4th be with you!’

The number 4 is symbolic to this community, especially this month because Star Wars celebrates its 40th anniversary on 25 May.

Costume contests, fun runs and photo opportunities are among the celebrations planned for Star Wars Day, whether in Utah, the ‘nerdiest’ state in the US, or in other cities around the world.
