20 000 members in the community! Also, a round-up of the latest community contributions

The community welcomed its 20 000th member this week! We’re very proud of the traction the community website has enjoyed over the past few months. People are joining to ask questions about the Platform of course (more about this in a bit), but also to learn about eXo Platform 4.1 developments.

We recently added an invitation feature, so our members can invite their colleagues and create spaces dedicated to their projects, while still having community support at their fingertips.

It’s great to see people supporting each other, and we are very excited to have such a big community for our open-source alternative to giants like Jive and SharePoint.

Round-up of recent and great community contributions

1/ The Platform has now been translated into 18 languages thanks to our community translators and we have users from all over the world. In this forum post, a user asked for support for manipulating documents with Chinese characters in the Platform.

2/ Speaking about translations, a member wanted to translate Platform into Farsi/Persian. The community helped him to get started and encouraged him. Just 10 days later the Farsi/Persian translation was standing at 96% complete!

3/ Here is a great thread about integrating OpenAM and eXo Platform 4. The community member wanted to add SSO capabilities to their own project. It was a long thread with many contributions. Ultimately, everything is working fine and the collaboration was a success!
