Football Fans: Facebook will never let you go!

Facebook addiction wasn’t much of a thing in the past, mainly because of its small size and the fact that it was only accessible on a regular computer. Those were the days!

Now, we carry our connection to this massive social networking site everywhere with us on our smartphones and even when we’re not staring down at our phone screens, we’ve got thousands of advertisement on television, in magazines and on product packaging telling everyone to “like us on Facebook.”

That’s why we should control our use of Facebook to live a happier, more balanced life and we should seriously think about a way to detox from this social network.

Football fans were able to get rid a little bit from Facebook to follow their teams’ games but now :

Football addicts will become Facebook addicts.

It became a reality with the acquisition of Liga’s broadcasting rights in South Asia and the UEFA Champions League media rights in Latin America.

When Facebook starts broadcasting football:

Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. These three social networks, are currently racing for quality video content to make old TV sets obsolete for good. Everyone seems to be preparing their programme schedules by making a series of deals with the media and broadcasters.

After launching its platform “Watch”  in USA, Facebook continues to enrich its video content with its debut broadcasting European football fields. This new situation could upset the market for sports broadcasting rights. The social network with his two billion users in the world will, for the first time, broadcast live matches of the UEFA Champions League and La Liga.

Football lovers will be delighted. From now on, Football fans will be able to follow and see matches that will be broadcasted live and free of charge on Facebook, in all legality.

Facebook Offers Spanish League for Free in South Asia:

The social network has signed an exclusive deal to show every La Liga game, for the next three seasons, to viewers in India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The rights were previously held by Sony Pictures Network.

The terms of the new deal have not been disclosed yet. In 2014, they were bought for $32m, according to Reuters.

There are 348m Facebook users in the region, 270m of them are in India.

It is the latest move from Facebook, and the tech industry in general, to invest in highly lucrative sports rights for emerging streaming services.

The social network already shows Major League Baseball to US audiences at a reported cost of $1m per game. As with the rest of Facebook, the content is free but supported by targeted advertising.

In the United States, Facebook broadcasts the Mexican championship live:

La Liga took the same example from the United States. Across the Atlantic, Facebook broadcasted 46 games of the Mexican league in 2017, according to the Bloomberg website in a post published on February 13.

After the Liga, Facebook will broadcast the Champions League:

UEFA has announced the award of certain media rights to Facebook in Latin America, which will see Facebook become the exclusive free-to-air home for certain UEFA Champions League live matches across Spanish-speaking territories during the 2018-21 cycle.

Peter Hutton, Facebook Head of Global Live Sports Programming said: “We’re proud to be the exclusive free-to-air home for UEFA Champions League matches across Latin America for the next three years. This world-renowned competition exemplifies how sports can connect communities, so we look forward to helping fans watch these live matches together and are committed to working closely with our great partners at UEFA to deliver an innovative viewing experience.”

The deal, which runs from this season until 2021, gives Facebook exclusive free-to-air rights to 32 live matches each season, including the UEFA Champions League final and UEFA Super Cup.

It’s no wonder that so many people admit to suffering from Facebook addiction and information overload. It’s become a huge part of real life culture to simply just be a part of the network.

That’s why you should set up your Facebook Messenger on mute when you watch your football game on Facebook because you can receive messages by watching them with your wife or your girlfriend cool
