Inspiring places for remote workers

Flexibility is one of the key advantages of remote work. And with all that has happened this year, remote working is becoming the new normal.
But always working from home can make you sick and bored. That’s why we thought you might enjoy some options for changing your ‘remote workplace’, and so we have picked some inspiring places (other than coffee shops) you can work from.

Here is our list:

1. Hotel lobbies

Hotel lobbies are often deserted during the week, making them the perfect spot for phone calls. They also usually have excellent wifi with not too many people competing for the wifi bandwidth.
Plus you can order a drink or some food while there to make the whole experience more enjoyable.

2. Coworking spaces

Coworking spaces are a great option for freelancers and remote workers, but they usually come with a fee or require a paid membership.
This may put off some freelancers and remote workers who don’t want to necessarily spend money, but they remain a great option as they’re very convenient and reproduce the workplace atmosphere.

3. Libraries

If your work doesn’t require virtual PBX phone calls and virtual meetings, then libraries may be an interesting alternative to get serious work done. There are usually lots of tables and free wifi, but they may sometimes be crowded so you might have a lot of competition for the wifi bandwidth.

4. College campuses

University campuses present a range of different places for productive remote work. They usually have comfortable lounges where you can spread out and get some work done as well as a good range of indoor and outdoor environments. Work and study are precisely what they were designed for.

5. Bars and pubs

Let’s face it, what’s better than a cold beer or a fancy cocktail to boost your creativity! If you’re doing creative work, then consider giving the pub a try. 😉
Do you have any favourite spots for remote working? Don’t hesitate to share them with us. We’re always on the lookout for new places to get things done.
