eXo Platform for JBoss

JBoss

Since 2009, Red Hat and eXo have worked together to build a new open source community project called GateIn. The GateIn portal framework project represents a merger of the former JBoss Portal project and the eXo Portal. GateIn 3.0, released in early 2010, is the foundation for the enterprise-supported offerings from both companies: eXo Platform 3.0 and JBoss Enterprise Platform Portal 5.0.

Red Hat's professional edition of the GateIn portal framework, JBoss Enterprise Portal Platform 5.0, provides comprehensive, enterprise-level portal features. Red Hat also delivers EPP Site Publisher, powered by eXo, an add-on module that offers complete web content management functionality. Leveraging eXo Platform’s WCM capabilities, Site Publisher enables line of business users to easily create and manage websites and web content within the context of the Portal.

Red Hat customers can extend their portal-based sites with user experience services from eXo. eXo Platform 3 for JBoss EPP Site Publisher provides document management, workflow, communication and collaboration tools, social networks and activity streams, and knowledge management capabilities like forums, FAQs and wikis.
